Waséyabek Federal Services
Waséyabek Federal Services, LLC (WFS) is a subsidiary and extension of the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi, a federally recognized Tribal government. Founded in 2018, WFS is an SBA certified tribally-owned 8(a) small, disadvantaged business with expertise and skillsets developed to provide services to the federal government in multiple areas. Our relevant expertise includes deep knowledge of real estate, grant administration, lending, underwriting, asset management, asset sales transactions and transaction, lender, and servicer compliance.
As an SBA certified tribally-owned 8(a) business, Waséyabek Federal Services LLC (WFS) presents some unique contracting advantages to our federal clients. In addition to other 8(a) contracting advantages, there are special features in working with a tribally-owned 8(a) firm:
- – You can execute sole source 8(a) awards to us regardless of dollar size, with no upper limit, while all other 8(a) firms are limited to $4.5 million sole source contracts
- – Even if two or more 8(a) firms are identified through Sources Sought or other marketing, contracting may still move forward with a direct award to a tribally-owned 8(a)
- – Direct negotiation is permissible during the solicitation process
- – Sole source contracts below $25M do not require a Justification and Approval
- – Sole source awards cannot be protested
WFS is a well-funded, experienced small business, with substantial liquid assets and experience in federal contracting. WFS has the borrowing capacity to meet the daily cash needs of new business development, new award support, and operational working capital. WFS is well-versed in federal contract compliance and provides outstanding support services.
